Then most of the noise must be wind at highway speeds.

I'd agree. As you increase speed, less noise is coming from the chassis and more from the air. A lot of those high end cars have pretty good aerodynamics probably mainly because of noise issues.
Custom Mirage products: Cruise control kit, Glove box light, MAF sensor housing, Rear sway bar, Upper grill block

Current project: DIY Nitrous oxide setup for ~$100

This is what I think too. The bulk of the noise at higher speeds after dampening was wind noise. Though to a lesser extent, it was still very prominent at freeway speeds at or above 65mph.

How much weight did you add to the car through this?

5 rolls of Peel & Stick plus some carpet padding.

The Peel and Stick is anywhere between 7-10 pounds a roll, and I put in 2 square meters of carpet padding, at 10 pounds each.

So total was about 60-70 pounds max. Didn't notice any difference when driving it.

If you were to do it again do you think you could get away with adding less, or would you opt to add more?

    P&S 6"x25' shipping weight 4lbs per roll.

I like how this graph confirms my decibel readings were fairly "average". I guess the app isn't so bad, after-all.

I still stand by my observation though. Tire noise, has been quelled very well.

Wind noise, has not be quelled much at all by sound dampening.

That's good, but the two rolls I weighed were 7.2 lbs, and the other, 8.1 pounds. That's why I've been giving a range of 7-10 pounds. Seems to vary.

It's asphalt based, and because of "wrinkles" in the foil, the amount of asphalt varies considerably. I guess I got some heavy rolls haha.

Either way: Weight added was very small, so I'm pleased with it.
