I have done it before too. But, the suspension is so damn wonky that it gets a bit scary over 85 or so.

I hear ya on that. Only on Straight Roads. Need to get SwayBars, coilovers, and wheels than im ready for AutoCross lol

That's not too crazy. Back in my high school days we were doing well over 100mph in our Jeeps. Those vehicles are much worse at high speeds than the mirage. I've verified our Mirage's will do at least 110mph. Mine is for sale below.
