Rival Autosport Carbotech AX6 Front Brake Pads

    Hey there,

So it's me again, but this time, under a new guise: Rival Autosport. Specializing in aero and chassis parts, there's also a specail focus on the 2013+ Mitsubishi Mirage. I've been working on a couple of prototypes includin a full CAI/SRI system, a short throw shifter and shifter extender, an oil catch can, some aero mods braces.

What I'm here to do is gauge interest in Carbotech AX6 (autocross compound) brake pads. I've been working with Carbotech over the last couple of weeks to try and create a real solution to our braking woes. The AX6 compound is great for high friction and great stopping, from cold to hot and everything in between. If you've done autocross before, you know how important it is to have a pad that works in a wide temperature range, since brakes are always cycling heat in this form of competition.

This is the same reason it make for a great street and lapping day pad: it can do it all. A little dusty and noisey compared to stock, but worth it if you're looking for that all-round performance from your brakes. But don't take my word for it. Check out Carbotech's AX6 description: http://www.ctbrakes.com/brake-compounds.asp#2.

So if you're interested, please post in this thread with any specific concerns or requests and I'll be more than happy to help you out.

Also here are the posts for the intake and aero parts respectively:

I'm interested. I replaced my front pads recently but would love to have a set that bites better than stock.

Interested. About to have to replace mine. If there would also be a better rotor option in stock size, I'd be interested in that as well. Possibly a combo deal.

Thinking of how to get my hands on those 2017 brakes to get designed as well. Overall just get my hands on a 2017, really.

Very Intrested. I know working at a dealership. I got told front brakes on this thing go in less than 10k Miles. I am looking foward for a better compound maybe to last a little longer than Stock OEM Brakes. I AM IN.
There is no I in team. But there is a PU in group and you guys stink.....

I used Carbotech Bobcats back when I had my Subaru Impreza. It would be nice to have more performance braking choices!

So for an update, they got back at me about the pads. So I asked if they are already an existing unit or custom relinings. If it's custom, I'll ask how many are need to get a part number assigned.
