I bought this 3 bike carrier at Walmart for $40:

    http://smile.amazon.com/Allen-Sports-Deluxe-3-Bike-Trunk/dp/B000ELQNYM/ref=au_as_r?_encoding=UTF8&Make=Mitsubishi%7C72&Mo del=Mirage%7C940&Year=2015%7C2015&ie=UTF8&n=156841 81&s=automotive&vehicleId=5&vehicleType=automotiv e

Here are some photos. It works fine for 2 bikes, I would not trust it to hold 3 because the bikes are too close together and will scratch each other.

Also I am using it for a road bike, If you have a heavy-assed mountain bike I dont know if I would recommend it because of the pressure it puts on the rear spoiler. If your bike weighs more than 20 lbs (or both bikes combined > 20 lbs) this setup will probably not work for you.

The bike sticks out maybe 6 inches on each side, its not a big deal. Sure beats paying over $200 to install a hitch if all you are looking for is to transport your bike. You can also just take off the front wheel and throw it inside the car (if you are planning to eat at a restaurant after your ride)

Get a movers blanket underneath it and flip it over the bike like a taco (for maximum protection) also this will conceal the bike from thieves that walk past your car and may decide to break in to steal a $3000 road bike

Looks good, do you think you'll lose some paint with the straps? I'd throw some foam under all the contact points to make sure. Hate to see you get scratches on your new baby.

    Thats a good idea.

On my old car I cut off the toe from an old sock and ran the strap thru, especially on the point where the strap touches the rear spoiler it will be wise to have something there

I'm not sure I would use the spoiler as an attachment point. How many bolts/screws hold the spoiler to the car?

I haven't seen this kind of a bike rack for sale for the Mirage in Denmark, do you have a link to the bike mount?

I have been using it for 2 years with my old Ford Fiesta but just now installed it today on the Mirage. So far so good, but then again my bike weight less than 10lbs (its carbon)

Im willing to risk a few scratches, I am an avid cyclist (3 times per week group rides) so I ABSOLUITELY have to be able to transport my bike with minimal fuss and delay

Its not just hanging off of the spoiler, its hooked to the latch that holds the entire hatchback tailgate. The concern for me is the way that it folds over the edge of the spoiler and squashes it but so far it has not been a problem. I think its okay for up to 2 lightweight roadbikes or ONE mountain bike but I give no guarantees. Give it a shot..... I did not want a trailer hitch on the back of my car also because it will stick out and one of the benefits of the Mirage is the fact that it is a short car that is easy to park in tight spaces
