    Mirage ralli-art spotted in Australia

I have moved interstate for a few months work and just had a look at the local Mitsu dealer and found this in the yard.

I for one do a lot of driving on rough roads/potholes/washboard etc, and would love a suspension that could handle it, and maybe some skid plates. I'm not really after the horsepower, but the parts that toughen up the car could be useful.

Odd that they would make this little car into a "sports" car, though. I suppose some folks will race anything!

If it can move faster then you can run, people will race it. But no really, your looking at a new generation of race cars and the trend is heavily already on its way.

If i can find a white Ralliart model at the US release, that's what ill be getting.

No I did not notice anything else. I will try and get time to ask them what the difference is with the ralliart mirage.
I have a feeling it will only be the wheels, badges and decals hope there is more to it then that though. It would not be good for the ralliart name if that's all they have done.

Looks nice IMO. I agree though, I hope its more than just styling things done.

Some years back I was around "The Coast" (the East Cape area of New Zealand's North Island) on my motorbike of the day, a Yamaha TRX850. The TRX was a very nice handling and quite punchy sports bike, in other words capable of pretty rapid progress, particularly through nice lightly used roads such as The Coast and indeed I was making pretty rapid progress. Then, what should appear in my mirrors than a 90s model Mitsubishi Galant, fairly quickly too. "Cheeky bugger" thought I and promptly gave the TRX what was left, feeling quite confident that I would teach that old pussbucket a lesson.

Not so. The Galant sat there, apparently quite comfortably for a few KM, then blasted past, again without too much apparent effort. What did stick in my mind was the glimpse of "Ralliart" stickers down the side of the Galant and since then I've been quite aware of the significance of Ralliart and respectful of what it meant.

The link that I posted above left me feeling a bit flat. Has Mitsubishi abandoned the spirit of the Ralliart badge?

    Regards to all
    Flange
