I find it odd that the sedan gets worse fuel economy while on the highway. Usually, sedans have slightly better aerodynamics than their hatch version, so the highway mileage is better.
Lower city mileage makes sense because the sedan weighs more.
Edit: Makes sense now. The CD for the sedan is .29 and the hatch is .27.
I do find it odd though that they simply tossed out the chance to drop that .27 hatch aero with the sedan. Not only that, but instead of taking advantage of the longer sedan shape, they actually made it a little worse.
