I test drove the 2017 Mirage!

This past Saturday I took a friend to look at a leftover 2015 Mirage SE and while I was there I test drove the 2017 manual transmission model. Some of my impressions: it did feel slightly peppier than the 2014-2015 models that I had test driven, (4 hp is almost a 5% increase) The 2017 had a slightly revised/nicer interior: dash and seats and also the shift knob is different on the se manual/more upscale looking/almost sporty. It handled slightly better/less wallowing around turns. The wheels are nicer more of an "in motion" look. I am very interested in the 2017 model. They had an orange one but it was CVT and I will not buy a CVT. The Mirage is not fancy but it felt like a car that would last and would take the miles without drama or issues. I might be ready to soon trade in for one.

It felt far better than the "experts" give it credit for. Felt good, comfortable, isolated bumps well, not that sporty but not bad either. I could easily live with it as a daily driver!

For comparison, can you say if you would have felt the need to upgrade (sway bar) the 2014/15 suspension?

It sounds like a moderate change.

I like a sporty handling car, however I felt it was good enough, and an improvement over the 2014-2015s, I would most likely not change a thing.
