DIY R5 external looks now possible in North America

I bumped into this website while searching for R5 references, so here you go

    http://cars4youcustom.com/mitsubishi...-kit-prototype

They have a US distributor and I hope someone will say how much would be the front bumper?

Or we can organize a bulk buy?

    Cheers!

It would be nice if they showed a picture of what all this looks like installed

That would be great. Maybe in a year or 2.

If these are like most body kits, it's not a bolt-on affair. Plus they would probably need finishing before they're ready for paint.

Great, so with time we can facelift out of warranty Mirages. So by that time, we shall see how easy is it to bolt everything on...

Yow...that's about $1,900 (US dollars) + shipping...just to get the parts. To have all of that professionally painted and installed (by a quality shop) could easily be several thousand dollars.

This cost of this kit installed might well exceed the entire value of most of our cars. I wonder how much weight it could possibly save?

This is why I am glad that my dad was a bodyman and my brother and I learned a ton from him about it. The problem I have is the space. In about 2-3 years I will get my house in the country with a pole barn and lift, so that will no longer be an issue. That's when I will really make some big changes to the Mirage.
