Those wheels really dress up the car. Nicely done!

I'll be posting a very detailed write-up about this wheel/tire combination within the next couple of days. I'm still putting it together.

I think people will be interested in hearing about the fuel economy hit I haven't experienced going with this setup.

The EP422s are pretty nice tires from others I've heard. Good combo of LRR but with decent grip.
Custom Mirage products: Cruise control kit, Glove box light, MAF sensor housing, Rear sway bar, Upper grill block

Current project: DIY Nitrous oxide setup for ~$100

    Hello,

I have the same wheel setup as far as 15x6.5 however mine are 36 offset. I am going tiwht 185 55 tires as well. I am wondering if you with the clearance that you have if u think i will have any problems rubbing with that 4mm difference in offset

That is such a small difference I don't think it will be an issue. I think a 6.5" wide wheel with a 35mm-40mm offset is the best combination of good looks and no rubbing on a Mirage. Go with a 7" wide wheel and you start risking rubbing issues. And a wheel that wide needs a wider tire to look good...which gets you into more potential rubbing issues. I'm a big fan of 185-55-15 tires because there are several Low Rolling Resistance options out there in that size (if you care about fuel economy).

    Hey Top_Fuel

If your fuel log is any indication, that non-ethanol fuel has made a significant difference in your fuel economy.

I think I've picked up an easy 2-2.5 mpg by switching to non-ethanol gasoline. For me that represents a 4-5% increase in fuel economy. That's about the same increase that I would expect from Low Rolling Resistance tires...so it's a pretty big deal! I'm going to keep running it through the winter to see how it goes once the temps start falling.

Again...the only downside is that non-ethanol fuel is unusual around here...so it's expensive and doesn't really pay for itself in fuel economy. It's normally about $.10 more than the price of premium.
