    LED Fender Side-marker

Maybe this has been a thread before, maybe not. ;-)

I HATE the look of chrome fender 'vents' or anything like that on the fender, and have always liked the side-marker on there. So when I removed the vent, to my surprise, the harness was attached to the back of it. I tested it to see if it had power, and it did, so I purchased a set of Lancer LED markers and they are a plug and play. I think it looks much better. Just wanted to throw this out there if anyone wants to do the same. :-)

Easiest mod ever. Did you even get dirty?

    Any links to your parts?

I found a similar part at MitsubishiPartsWarehouse.com, but it appears to be the incandescent version, not the LED. It is referred to as a repeater, not a marker - which kind of makes it tougher to search for.

For those who want to find this cheap in a junk yard, it looks like the parts catalog says this can be found on the 2008 - 2015 Lancer and 2007 - 2013 Outlander.

The part you show looks similar to the ones listed by Depo lamps on this page:

I did bend my finger nail back and it hurt like a b**ch 😉

My part was searched under eBay 'lancer fender LED'. I now realize there's a smoked version, thanks for that. 😃. I'm not spending another $42 though lol.

    Yeah...what he said!

This looks pretty cool (and easy) to me!!!

    Other Questions:

    1) How do you remove those 'vent' pieces? Do they just pop out? I just spent a few minutes trying to pry one of mine out of the fender, and it seemed like it wasn't going to come out unless I broke something. Any tips for removing them?

    2) Do the marker lights function as turn signals along with the existing lights in the mirrors?

So you bought the lights below off of eBay?

    1. Yes, it's very easy. Look at the pics I posted, you'll see the one end of the light is springed. You push the vent towards the fender and the front of the vent will pop out. So push towards the fender and pull out the front section of the vent. Those LEDs are exactly what I ordered.

    2. The function with the mirror LEDs and if you have keyless entry, they'll blink too.

Is there anyone here who could source these for a group buy? I'm digging on the LEDs with smoked lens.

I checked mine today. As zx2uner said, I pushed back (against the spring) and pulled out the front.

Mine popped out with a bit of effort, but no tools were needed. Just mad skillz lol.

Would this qualify for one of the Mirage's quirks? Cast your votes.
