Tire Barn locally. The specialist's advice was to have it checked with square tires. Taking it in after work next week.

    Thanks

    I ordered centers from:

They were 8.99 + 3 USD for shipping. There were several color combos and you pick the size.

    I am liking the look.

    Thanks all!

Looks familiar! Post a picture when you get your center caps put on. Did they install your factory TPMS sensors in your new wheels?

Don't forget to carry the special lugnut socket in your car so you can put the spare tire on if needed.

Wow...that looks like a great source for wheel centers. You get to specify the diameter...that's great! I will use them in the future. Thanks!

They did install the TPMS. I will shoot a close up of the centers when they arrive.
Tell me if these are my imagination...
It seemed that the change in ride height was perceptible even if marginally so
The car immediately feels more stable at any speed but noticeably so on the highway

Well...if you went from worn out 165-65-14s to brand new 185-55-15s, I think you could notice the slight difference. It's less than 1/2 of an inch, but combine that with the fact that these wheels/tires are huge (compared to the stock wheels) and completely fill up the fenders...and I'm not surprised that your first reaction is that the car sits a tad higher.

That's good to hear that you think the car feels more stable with the new wheels. I didn't have my factory wheels/tires long enough to make that observation.

This might be laughable, but did you notice any difference in acceleration? The 185/55 is taller. I'm currently running 195/50 on a 15x6.5 with a +38 offset and am getting rubbing in the rears.

I noticed no difference at all in acceleration.

Your wheel has a 2mm difference in offset than my wheels (which are +40). I guess that and your beefier tire size is what's causing you to rub. Get out the fender roller.

What I noticed after going from stock size to 15 x 6.5" with 185 55 tires is that the CVT seem to stay in a better range and when turning Corners the steering wheel now automatically returned on its own whereas with the stock wheels and tires it didn't.

The wheels being wider than stock also stretch the tires wider allowing them to be flattered giving the vehicle lot more stability. Now just add a stabilizer bar on the rear and it completely transforms the vehicle, especially on the highway!

Yeah, I've been thinking about it, or going down to a narrower tire. I'll need to do some measuring to see of 10mm would be enough.

    Black on Blue

    Finally got my setup installed.

As has been reported previously, the handling does improve quite a bit with the wider tire and spacing.

I tried resetting the tire diameter in ETACS only to find the measurement has presets. You can only choose between the following:

    1748mm
    1784mm
    2015mm
    2026mm
    2066mm
    2073mm
    2082mm
    2124mm
    2155mm
    2185mm

I replaced the center caps (they were silver/chrome like what comes with the OP wheels have) with a cheapo black plastic piece similar to the original, and added the Mitsu logo center to it. All black with the silver logo, though I'm still tempted to replace the logo with a hello kitty face.
