Strange engine sound.

Hi. Just after 22k miles on my Mirage I'm hearing a strange sound out of the engine compartment accelerating from 50-60 mph. It happens in both 4th and 5th gear and only when the engine is cold. It sounds like a rush of air or engine "breathing" problems but I don't notice a reduction in power. Anyone else had these issues?
