Replaced my filter today with AC Filter CF3349C. After almost 3 years way overdue!

Any thoughts on the AC Delco filter/screen compared to stock? I thought the stock screen was pretty thin.

The AC Filter is a charcoal filter and seems pretty sturdy with dense filtration medium. I ordered from our friends @ RockAuto. It’s about double the cost of some of the cheaper ones but RockAuto’s price was about the same as a regular Wix filter from my local NAPA.

What made you go with the charcoal filter?
Custom Mirage products: Cruise control kit, Glove box light, MAF sensor housing, Rear sway bar, Upper grill block

Current project: DIY Nitrous oxide setup for ~$100

I was hoping that the charcoal filter might provide some better pollen filtration here on the always so temperate Southern Oregon Coast.

I changed mine around 30k Miles. There was a dead bee in it!

Damn... I have waited too long too! Its at almost 22k right now and I have not ever changed this. I hope I didn't do any last damage. I just ordered the filter from Amazon. It was 16.50 plus tax on Amazon.com and its the Ecoguard brand. Its for my 2017 Mirage.

It'll be dirty, but it doesn't cause any damage. You may notice your HVAC system blows more air than normal after changing it out though.
