    Dragging the mirage

Hey guys, not sure where to post this, feel free to move it.

Took my car to the drag strip. Wanted to see what it would do. Found one in Thailand that was stripped and slightly modified to make more power. Ran a 15.3.
Went there hoping to do an 18 second pass. Had an awesome time.

    Here are a few photos:

    In the lanes waiting.

First run was a 19.587. Was happy with that. Wasn't the best launch.

Second run was a 19.014. Was shocked I had cut nearly .500 off, and was excited as I knew I could do my goal of an 18.

Third run. Bingo. 18.947. Got my 18
Did a fourth run, but messed up the staging, then had to quickly start but still managed a 19.014

Has anyone else taken theirs to the drags? My car is stock with a ATV pod filter attached, and modded for handling. Full weight and no excess rubbish removed from my car.
Can I claim fastest stock full weight mirage?

    Nice consistency!

I have to ask... How do you launch one of these things? Do you just dump the clutch at 3500 rpms and hang on?

Pretty much. It's just about finding the point where it will take the launch. At the drags, you don't need the handbrake on, it's perfectly flat. But if you do it on the street or whatever, it may require the handbrake so you don't roll backwards.

Nice. Did you turn off your ASC for the track?

    Yep.
No point trying to drive it fast with it on. Cuts throttle before it hits limiter(i didn't hit the limiter). It's also quicker off the line if the wheels spin, as it just spins a couple of times then goes. With ASC on, it will cut throttle to regain traction.
