    Hey!

I got a Mirage! Hadn't planned on it but picked up a brand new white 201 last month.

I'm coming from a Crown Vic, lol but I've hung around TeamSwift and EcoModder in the past.

Love driving it so far. The looks are growing on me. No mods planned atm as I get use out of what's there and enjoy the mileage.

Will probably switch back to the Crown Vic in winter as I prefer rwd, plus it can take the rust. I do have snow tires on order for the Mirage.

Also want to say thanks to all those who wrote about their Mirages in the forums as it helped me decide. I read all about Baby Girl just to name one and learned a lot about them through their owners and what's shared here.

Welcome, Aamp! Congrats on the purchase.

Did you go with CVT or 5MT?

    Darin

PS: nice to have another winter ride (beater too harsh?) to keep the rust away. I just started doing that myself in the past 3 winters.

Welcome? What year is your Vic? I swapped the 4.6 in my mom's '92 back in the day, and it was one of the easiest motor swaps I have ever done.

Thanks for the welcomes . I chose the manual Mirage. My Crown Vic is a 2002 that I bought as a winter beater which I usually replaced yearly but it goes hard mechanically so I've kept it around for a few. Love the V8s though am just as interested in projects like ForkenSwift. Also have an unplanned combination of a Geo and a forklift in the yard atm for whatever happens between the two (probably nothing) lol. The Mirage is pretty nice for now

ForkenSwift was so much fun (RIP - rust). I miss driving it. I still have the shell, purely for sentimental reasons. I sold off all the electric stuff, including worn-out batteries, to someone doing another conversion.

Don't forget to make a garage page!
