Thumbs up I got my WeatherTech FloorLiners...

Why does my passenger weathetech mat have holes, when there are no holes in the floor of the car? This doesn't seem right. It fits fine, but there's unnecessary holes. Is this a mistake? Has anyine else had this problem?

Edit: Their website doesn't even show these holes, neither do any other images I've seen. This must be a mistake. I will be contacting the company. http://www.weathertech.com/mitsubish...er-digitalfit/

Edit 2: Apparently this is a revised version, and it came with 2 pieces that kinda hold the mats to the floor with plastic hook/screws. Not sure how I feel about that, but that explains this.

Be careful of the passenger side mat, it has been known to dislodge the A/C condenser drain which will create a real mess. Some members have trimmed the upper right portion of the mat to insure this doesn't happen.

I have been using my passenger side without those anchors, but I have to reposition it regularly because every time someone gets out of the car, they shove the mat forward about an inch or so. So I'm going to install those anchors.

At first I thought they weren't needed, but they probably are a good idea...especially for the reason inuvik mentioned.

Where did you get them, and how much did they cost?

Interesting, did not know about the a/c condenser drain thing. I am hoping the anchors help with that? Apparently people had issues with the mats moving forward so they fixed it with the anchors, cool. Now I like that idea a little more. My mom got them for me for my birthday. I think the set was $180+.

It's nice the rear ones go over the hump for the rare person in the middle situation. Pictures were taken at night so they're not very pretty.

How is this mat supposed to protect carpet with 2 holes in the bottom of it?
Any snow/ice melt will simply run out, no?
    Will weld for beer.

    Ha - good point!

At least it might better protect against abrasion and dry dirt from getting embedded.

The holes are actually surrounded by a raised ridge of material. You could probably have a fair amount of water contained in these things before it would become a problem.

Here's a picture, with the mounting hole marked in yellow. It's hard to tell from that picture, but the raised portion around those holes is almost 1/4" high...

They are an excellent mat for catching dirt, water, and melting snow. You can get them filthy and just hose them off.

Lloyds Mats are also an excellent product. A lot of Corvette guys use these. If all I ever had to worry about was rain, I might be tempted by them. But I need to catch all the melting snow falling off my shoes, so I went with the WeatherTechs.
