Havoline synthetic blend Dexos1(US, North America distribution), API SN-RC, ILSAC- 5 certified, relatively cheap but performs more than good enough for Mirage.

    2 qts sustina 0w20 1 qt redline 0w20 summer
    Fram ultra filter

Mobile 1 advance fuel economy $23 at Walmart is excellent oil, group 4 and cheap for how good it is.
I highly recommend the M1 AE.

    I use Ams-Oil cause it's the best.

I would be wary of Pennzoil, it's one of the sludgest of the name brand oils. I refuse to use it in any vehicle I own.

The Castrol synthetics are fake. It's a non-synthetic that they bull **** process so it'll rate high enough to false label as a synthetic. There was a law suit about it at one point. If you want to run a true synthetic then don't choose Castrol.

The Valvaoline synthetic blend is the same as the Castrol synthetic. It's a non-synthetic they process and can be legally false labeled as a synthetic. They made the synthetic blend in order to counter Castrol. However the Valvaoline synthetic is a real synthetic and a decent option.

In the United states there is no regulation administration that checks oil. A recent study showed that random Gas/Petrol stations that carry random off brand oils often tested with straight up USED oil in them. No one checks these companies to ensure they are filling the containers with new oil, or even the correct oil. I would highly advise against buying gas station or off brand oils.

ah dang! Didn't know that Catrol's "full synthetic" oil wasn't a 'true' full synthetic. It's tough to find AMSoil around my area :/

If AMSoil is not readily available and Castrol/Pennzoil is not recommended, what would you recommend?

^ Eneos is a high quality oil. Mobil 1 is still decent although its not as great as it used to be when it had high zinc. The valvaoline synthetic (not the blend, the blend is the same as running non-synthetic) is also a decent one to go with if you want a trust worthy full synthetic.

Mobil has a rebate until the end of this month . https://mobiloil.com/en/promotion/mo...nd-mobil-super . PENNZOIL also has rebate , http://offers.pennzoil.com/rebate?gc...YBuA&gclsrc=ds , that ends December 31st .

When I changed my own oil I used to use Shell Rotella T6 because so many people swear by it. But when I bought my Mirage it came with free oil changes for life!

Ya, I just completed my MLT-2 Oil and Lube Certification of Advanced Technologies. There's a lot too an oil and when it comes to an engine oil 8-25% of it is additives. The only way to tell what's best is too review the oil analysis for the diffrent brand and types.
