Yes...those two things are still true.

FYI...Bartec has a new tool out that doesn't require that funky magic Mitsubishi adapter cable. But the tool costs $1200.

Storing 2 sets of TPMS IDs in a US-market Mirage...
This is still a theory that has yet to be done with the crazy Russian ETACS hacking software.

That, and Vlad has said that ETACS Decoder won't do TPMS.

But here we have a forum member with an Autel MaxiPro 808 with a US Mirage who can tell us if that diagnostic tool is capable of accessing Mirage TPMS functions, and maybe perhaps even enable two sets.

Looks like this version is for TPMS functions:

    MaxiPRO MP808TS

The other version doesn't mention TPMS functionality.

Then perhaps I misunderstand what you are trying to say, as you continue to discuss and promote cloning rather than the original post of using two sets of TPMS sensors.

I see this thread as wanting to take advantage of a feature of these cars that may be available in other markets rather than cloning. I get that cloning is possible. If you are not interested in figuring out how to activate two sets of TPMS sensors, why post here?
I asked if anyone has programmed 8 sensors to a Mirage in North America? (third time now) How is that promoting cloning? That's the alternative to cloning.

Most sensors come activated. It's programming them to the Mirage that's the issue here.

Doesn't cloning give you two sets of sensors that will work on a Mirage?

Eggman - Unless we can program 8 sensors in a Mirage, please explain the advantage of doing anything else?

Ugh - were talking past each other.

    Cloning has been figured out.

I'll wait to hear from Dodge Aries K (or anyone else with a MaxiPRO MP808TS) rather than continue with cloning discussions.

Can you help figure out two sets of TPMS sensors?

Nickels, has your dealership ever successfully programmed two sets of tires according the FSM?

"TIRE PRS. SENSOR ID REG. (Set2)" METHOD
Follow "Tire Pressure Sensor ID Registration" method.
    TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR ID CHECK
    M1311004100095
"TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR ID CHECK" METHOD
You can check the tire pressure sensor ID on the diagnosis screen as described below.
1.Operate scan tool MB991958 as follows:
Press "Special function" button on the diagnosis screen.
Select "Tire Pressure Sensor ID Check" from the "Special function" menu.
    CAUTION
If two sets of the IDs have been registered, the scan tool MB991958 will display the IDs of the wheels which are currently effective in the vehicle.
2.Check the tire pressure sensor IDs on the scan tool MB991958 screen.
    TPMS TRANSMITTER CHECK
    M1311004000117
According to the following procedures, identify which registered TPMS transmitter corresponds to which wheel, and check the tire pressure and acceleration value of each TPMS transmitter.
1.Check the data list "Air Pressure, Tire1, 2, 3, 4" and write down the tire pressure for all wheels.
    NOTE:
The display at this time is the data received most recently.
2.Perform the following procedures for four wheels in order, identify the wheel by checking the tire pressure of each wheel.
(1)Change the pressure of tire for 20 kPa (2.9 psi) or more so that the TPMS transmitter sends the latest sensor data (The tire pressure can either be decreased or increased).
(2)Check the data list screen to determine which tire number corresponds to the wheel whose tire pressure has changed.

    Yes, clone them.

Now, explain something better & cheaper please?

The ability to store 8 sensors would be that. Once set up, you are done.

I am very interested this thread. I have tires without sensors & have tires with sensors that don't match existing sensors for two vehicles.

If 8 sensors can be stored in a Mirage or a Subaru for that matter, I am all ears!

You act like I don't know what I am talking about here, & I don't get it?

The original purpose of this thread (post # 1) is about this. Having to buy some $1,000+ tool & reprogramming your vehicle every time you change your wheels is off topic here as far as I am concerned. This tread is about setting up two working sets of sensors. One way is cloning, and the other way would be the ability to store 8 sensors.

If you are reprogramming your car every time you switch wheels, that should be a new thread.
