andAccording to the information, in the next model, we will adopt the "CMF B" platform jointly developed by Nissan and Renault and it will be shared with the "Juke" next model.
We wouldn't see the turbodiesel or EV in North America. The powertrain is expected to lineup such as 0.9 liter inline 3 cylinder gasoline turbo engine that demonstrates the maximum output 95 ps, 1.5 liter in-line 4 cylinder diesel turbo engine, etc. Also the setting of the EV model is rumored.

Right, sadness on the turbodiesel, but I've lo g said the imiev should never have received it's own platform; it should have been an electric mirage.

Maybe Mitsu was working on the assumption that an EV has to look funny/unique to catch people's attention. The iMiev certainly fits the bill for funny-lookin'.

I like cars that have an identity. At a quick glance, you know exactly what you are looking at. A car model that changes all the time loses its identity. You may gain some new buyers, but at the same time you will lose some.
For example, the KIA Soul & VW Golf have an identity. If you changed these cars drastically, you would ruin the formula to their success. Even when the Golf was called a Rabbit for a few years, the car didn't change much. For those who argue change is necessary, I copied/pasted the following:
"By the summer of 2013, Volkswagen had sold 30 million Golfs. This is about 2,100 car sales each day for 39 years."
The Golf has changed some over 4 decades, but it never lost its identity. It also provided some variety (2-door/4-door, gas/diesel, turbo/non-turbo, etc....) within the model.
The Mirage is affordable, reliable, & economical. You eliminate any of those three things, & you lost me as a consumer. If I wanted sporty and more expensive car, I could have bought something else. By U.S. standards, the Mirage is a little quirky. I love that!
Slap on some plastic cladding and call it a CUV. The Mirage Cross!!

Motor Trend’s annual buyer’s guide reports that the 2019 Mirage will get minor trim changes and that’s it. Sounds good to me!
