    Question Car cover? Storing Mirage

Anybody else store their Mirage for winter? I'm planning on storing mine in my basement garage, and was wondering if there are any good (yet affordable) car covers that fit really well? I guess it is mainly to keep it clean over the winter. I also might use it outside during the summer if it sits for a length of time. I park under trees.

    Well...define affordable.

You can't go wrong with anything from California Car Covers, Covercraft, etc. They sell top-notch, custom-fit covers that will fit your car like a glove...but you will be spending $200+ from these places.

If you think the cover will be used outdoors, be sure to get something that is water resistant and breathable. You don't want to trap moisture under the cover.

Amazon has some nice covers that are under $30 (stupid cheap!) with overwhelmingly positive reviews...

I just bought one from Walmart for my Miata. They didn't have anything close to being the correct size so I got one that would fit the Mirage (Size 3) and have used the extra material to wrap around the rebar I am using for weights to make sure it stays on. A few magnets in the couple of spots there is steel to stick to and I'm happy. Of course here in Georgia we don't normally have a real winter. I'm much more concerned about keeping pine needles and other trash from ending up wedged in the hood and top lining. It should hold up for my use and felt the $25 price tag to be acceptable.
