    7.4 $ US per gallon

Was in Italy yesterday, and in Switzerland. Took a picture of the fuel prices at a normal Italian gas station (petrol station) and thought it might be of interest.
At €1.81.4 per Litre for 95 octane, and 3.785 Litres to the US Gallon, it comes to about US $ 7.4 per gallon.

On the same day in Switzerland, prices weren't much different, see below.
Prices here are in CHF (Swiss Francs).

And here I am, upset that gas "shot up" from $1.92/gallon to $2.21/gallon yesterday. Imagine how well Mirage's would sell in the US if gas was that high here. On the plus side, Europe has far better trains/buses than the US.

My sister and her husband live in Italy. She says although fuel is expensive, the roads are nice and that Italians drive "like they stole it". She said that driving on the Autostrada is like entering into a Formula 1 race lol.

This is nothing new. Gasoline was similarly priced (4x of US prices) when I visited back in the 1980s.
