Wheels: What Else Fits the Mirage? (With photos)

Interested in a new set of wheels? Me too. I'd like to post what info I can find on rims that *should* fit this generation Mirage. Plus, charts are fun.

It's a work in progress. I'll update as I'm able. Let me know if you have anything to add.

All items are 4x100 bolt pattern as I don't see any point in listing others. The center bores, offsets, and sizes to be listed as I can find them. I'll start by posting wheels that have the same size center bore and go from there.

Note on *should*: I'm putting up examples of wheels using the 4x100 bolt circle diameter pattern. There might be some other factor keeping these wheels from fitting on the Mirage, such as the center bore hole being too small or interference with brake hardware. Please share stories of success and failure.

I'm a fan of the Mini wheels. I like their style and the 15" sizes should be a great fit for the Mirage.

Knowing weight matters, I searched around and found a page that lists the weights of Mini wheels. The website Mini Wiki lists various wheels that were OEM to Mini Coopers, and also list their weight. Look for that information here:

Great idea...love the chart! Can you squeeze the wheel weight in there, too?

Here is an example from your chart, but its a specific wheel that's lighter than the others...

    First generation Mini-Cooper "Imola" wheels
    Size: 15 x 5.5”
    Bolt Pattern: 4 x 100
    Offset: +45
    Center Bore: 56.1mm
    Weight: 12 lbs
    Details here

And here are my aftermarket wheels...

    Konig Helium
    Size: 15x6.5"
    Bolt pattern: 4x100
    Offset: 40mm
    Center Bore: 73.1mm
    Weight: 11.1 lbs
    Details here

I hadn't thought about that. I don't see weights listed, at least at the few sites I was browsing. Also, I don't think I could possibly include all the aftermarket options out there. I was thinking about used options like junkyard finds, Craigslist, or eBay. Sometimes a bargain comes along, like an extra set for winter use, and I thought it would be helpful to have a reference list compiled.

I'll get the Imola in there - thanks!

Added Honda Civic info & links.

NOTE: Wheel-Size.com reports the Miata center bore at 54.1, making it too small to fit the Mirage without modification. They also say the same for the Toyota vehicles - the Paseo, Yaris, Prius, Tercel, and Echo - they all have the 4x100 bolt pattern with a 54.1 center bore. See the next post for details.

    I'll add another table.

I used Wheel-Size.com as my source for sizing info. Here is what they say about the various model cars that have used the 4x100 bolt pattern at one time or another in their production. Wheel-size.com actually lists many more models - I only included what I thought were the more common examples. If anyone finds information contrary to what's listed here, please let me know and I'll straighten it out.

    Notes:
I gathered this information to provide a guideline for possible fitment to our Mirage. Unfortunately I cannot guarantee that any of these will actually work, and I cannot be responsible for the accuracy of this information.
Check carefully. Follow the link provided with each make & model for details. Do your own research using your own sources for the best chance at success.
Specifications can vary by trim & market. For example, Chevy Spark, Honda Accord, Kia Spectra, Mitsubishi Lancer & Nissan Versa have records of using 4x114.3 as well as 4x100.
I notice that several models have transitioned over to 5 bolt patterns. If the model year lists the 4x100 pattern, I'll include them.
Please share your experience here on the forum for everyone's benefit.

I'm pretty sure we've had a few people use the super light weight Civic VX and HX wheels as well.

    Awesome list btw! Thanks.

Thanks. For some time now I had wanted to compile pictures of all the various rims for browsing. Sometimes a design stands out, like the Mini Imola, and it helps to have the photos and sizes there for comparison. I thought about making this a spreadsheet, as I don't think the forum software allows for sorting.

I'm running out of other vehicles that use(d) the 4x100 bolt pattern. If there's something I missed, please post and let me know.

Does anyone else think about what rim & tire combo might actually improve on the Mirage fuel economy? I know many here have changed wheels and lost fuel economy, and a few have maintained their numbers with the right combo, such as Top Fuel (more details at Fuel Efficient 15-Inch Wheels and Tires.) But what about doing better? I was wondering if the iMiev wheels would do this.

1st gen Honda Insight wheels and Potenza RE92 tires are an awesome combo that worked amazingly well for the Insight.
