The Irish reviews of the Space Star have been among the most positive to date, second only to the Philippine ones, I think. Something about the car, both in 1.0 and 1.2L versions, seems to appeal to Irish sensibilities. This one is for the 1.2L model:

Pros...

- remarkable interior space
- standard equipment level
- fuel economy / emissions: "We averaged 52mpg, clocking up 450kms on a 35 litre tank which in any man's currency is mega."
- mesmerizing Eco Drive assist gauge
- unrivalled warranty

Cons...

- bland styling
- "gruff" 1.2L engine note
- awkwardly placed phone controls

Overall...

All in all the new Space Star is an excellent all-rounder and ticking all the right boxes especially for beginners, empty nesters and city dwellers.

The phone controls is a new complaint I haven't heard of. Can anyone explain how they work?
