Does anyone have an approximate torque that the alternator tensioner bolt should be set to? I’ve never replaced a serpentine belt before and the service manual doesn’t list one

The correct belt for Mirage with A/C has 6 ribs and a length of 1240mm.
Some makers offer a length of 1238mm which fits just as good.

    Gates part: 6PK 1238

    Contitech part: 6PK1240

For cars without A/C the belt also has 6 ribs but a length of 906mm.

    Contitech part: 6PK906
Would you be able to divulge where you got that information? I'm belt shopping and I keep seeing 6pk1230 being recommended to me, I don't expect it'll make much difference but I'd rather have the same as OEM.

Used this information to put a belt on my wife's 2015 ES. Took 10 minutes, had to bump the starter to get the Continental Belt 4060485 over the alternator pulley. Car had been making terrible chirping noise it was just the belt, its quiet now. picked the car up at an insurance auction for $2500.00 Running good now.

I plan to change my factory belt @ 100,000 miles (currently @ 67,000+ miles). I have the new replacement belt stored with my Mirage spare tire. When I put the new belt on, I will keep the original belt in the car for back up. In a pinch, it's good insurance to have extra items like those on hand.

I also have jumper cables, replacement clutch cable, & two headlights stored inside or around my spare tire. Since I have two sets of tires (winter/summer) for my Mirage, I store a full size spare in that space now, too. It raises the storage area in the rear about 1.5 -2.0 inches, but I like knowing I have a full size spare available for longer trips.

    Why dielectric grease?

Dunno where you got that belt part number from, its only 1230mm long. It should be 1240mm long. Many makers simply call the belt what size it is: 6PK1240. That means six ribs (6PK) and 1240mm length.
Gates, for example, makes a 6PK1240 that fits perfectly and is of best quality. No need to force it on, because it is long enough, the original size.

That's the part number for that brand of belt. It was a perfect fit. I got mine from autozone but it can be bought on amazon and rock auto in the US.

I believe he has the correct belt, and the difference in length may be an inside versus outside measurement of the belt.

For example, the Auto Zone Duralast belt has an inside length of 1230 mm & an outside length of 1242.8 mm (that's converting the inches given to mm).
