    MirageRally,
. . . . I don't know. When I pulled the A/C Relay in my G4 the A/C quit working. I then put in the Relay that came with the Fog Lamps and the A/C started working again. I didn't pull any fuses. What year and model is your Mirage?
    GOD Bless and Thanks,

l may have to pull the unit off the dash and trace the wires...pulled both and l can confirm it still works with both the relay and fuse pulled out....weird...going to pull off the ac unit and see if l can wire it off...or going to look at other fuses.

Maybe someone with auto climate controls can help you?

If you disable the A/C some day, I would be concerned about the seals & everything in your system. A/C systems shouldn't sit unused for extended periods. I don't use A/C very often, but I run it for a short period every couple weeks even in the winter.

I believe there is a way to turn off the A/C without pulling a fuse, but someone with auto climate controls will have to point that out to you.

Yeah-when l pulled the fuses and relay and l still heard it come on, l just laughed and said "Oh come on man" lol. Wish l had the option when l got it if l could have deleted AC...l don't use it at all. Hopefully someone with auto-climate can help.

    MirageRally,
. . . . I use my A/C almost continuously. I have already had to change the cabin air filter on my Mirage. I went through 3 fan motors on my 323 and I replaced the fan motor on my Protege once. During the winter I run the A/C compressor at least once a month but during the summer it runs almost all of the time that I am driving. I always run the fan. Mark is correct about the seals on the compressor. The compressor needs to be run at least once a month to keep the front seal proper lubricated. It also needs to be run on occasion to insure that the bearings and vanes are properly lubricated.

    Basic,
. . . . NO! I am afraid that I sold it decades ago. At times I wish that I still had it. With 500 hp it was a really fun car to drive. It would also kill you in heart beat if you got stupid with it.
