Thread: What did you do to your Mirage today?

  1. #1021

    bye Mirage, hi Miata

I parked the Mirage today and put the craptastic $1000 Miata on the road. It's 30 years old this year (I got it in 2017.)

This is the latest in the summer I've started driving the Miata. It's been too dang hot!

The Mirage will now sit until it's time for winter duty.

I could do without the auto climate controls in my car and do prefer the manual controls instead but swapping them would cut into my time I spend at rally's trying raise awareness about recycling staples.

It should fit the Hatch...it fit the Ford Fiesta and that's a subcompact...l guess we'll see Saving up money for it as we speak...will add the side splitters first, then see if the wing is worth it.

Unfortunately, like a tattoo it's hard to go back on if you remove the spoiler. I've seen the patent models for the Mirage pre-production ... Draft style drawings that they have online. My point is the rear spoiler is actually active in the aerodynamics of the Mirage design. I wouldn't remove it or modify it, myself anyways..

Yeah, l'm going to add the canards regardless...even if it's less mpg...more for looks As for the wing...l understand your point...if l had an EVO engine l would care less about fuel economy and more about Power! lol...at this point l don't care about resale value...l'll drive it till it goes

I did a little digging, just because it's interesting. Big thanks to a post by Eggman a while back, here is the US patent on google's site with a cool drawing of the Mirage:

*edit I'm wrong sorta, that doesn't have the patent for the spoiler on it. Nevermind, but aren't those cool drawings!?
