That is actually really scary... there is no reason that should fail like that if it was properly engineered with the right materials. Epic fail on Kawi's part imo... Looks like a lawsuit waiting to happen YIKES

Basic - I doubt that was *just a simple rollover. That looks like that impact was very velocity involved. And where there's velocity involved, most of the time it's best case to absorb energy over time. Say that thing flipped / rolled at 50 mph ... that bending absorbed energy and might have prevented whiplash type injuries. But who really knows unless you saw it or were part of it. Crashing is very complex.

I drove mine this week! First time in 3 weeks.

It started. I was pleasantly surprised.

Did my final preemptive oil change last night at 5,000 miles (actualy 5,250). Purolator ONE, and 3.2 quarts of Castrol Magnatec 0W-15. I also saw somewhere (gonna do a search after this post) about tying down the snorkel intake. I checked mine, it was a bit loose so I went ahead and zip-tied it down. Now I'm gonna go back and figure out why I did that!

In the last 2 weeks, I've cleared snow off mine more often than I've driven it.

    That is all.

Is the 0w15 something new? I have never heard of it nor could i find any info on the Castrol US website. I did not do much looking other than that. I am interested to know if you get better mpg out of a thinner oil.

Last night I changed the oil on my 2021 Mirage. It had 765 miles. I will change again at 3,000 miles. It did have a tiniest hint of metallic sparkle in the drained oil.
    Beck Arnley 0w20 #252-4001
Micro Guard filter # MGL7317 ( I had laying around in my parts bin)
Dorman 090-036 (magnetic drain plug & gasket)
    Anco Winter blades # 30-24 & 30-16

I have kicked around with running a 0w16 but I got a good deal through work on the Beck Arnley fluid. I also have about 40 qrts of Syntec 0w40 euro spec fluid laying around. I may run it in the mirage as I now know others have. I am curious about the effects on mpg. I have read slightly thicker oil has reduced engine clatter.
