When you pulled the engine block plug, how much coolant came out approximately?

I'm not crazy about plugs that require an Allen wrench. Sort of surprised one is used for that.

Aluminum plug washer looks like it could be used again, but probably good to replace it.

Hooked everything back up and filled it up, gave it a brief run to get any air out and I'll check it again soon and top it up if need be.

Just gone 100k, yes the first time.

Not sure how much came out the bung, I got covered in most of it, it spurted out for a few seconds and then dribbled all over the place.

With today's sub zero temperature, it became very clear that A/S tires really don't like this weather. I've been using winters on my cars until this year. Since I got the car in late November, I figured I'd nurse it through until I buy proper winters in the fall. Geez, it feels like I'm on roller skates!

We haven't heard to many comments about 165/65r14 Falken SN250A A/S factory tires & snow performance so far.

We still don't have many 165/65r14 winter tire choices in the States. Nokian Nordman 7, Dunlop Winter Maxx WM02, and Vredestein Quatrac 5 (all-weather) are still our main choices here. Our options dwindle fast after those three.

On a positive note - You have more winter tire choices & no TPMS to mess with!

When is it considered fall in Canada?

    I'm dreaming about spring already!
