Yesh those injectors need oil pressure to operate iirc. They have one goofy gear driven high pressure oil pump conveniently under the intake that feeds the injectors and conventionalish pump to oil the engine. Or something like that. I like not having to remove the cab to fix my engine.

What a great idea to put that subwoofer there! Better than Mitsu's idea of it being attached to the back right side wall, taking away a lot of cargo room.

@dirk im not an audio expert but normally the subwoofer can't be installed to the back of the seat as its only fixed to the car at one point the latch(and hinged at the bottom). Im sure when you crank the sound it lowers the quality substantially especially if no one is seated there and the seat is allowed to vibrate.

The word CAN'T, didn't dissuade whoever installed that.

With the combination of low pitch, mass of the seat and foam involved in the seat, I'm going to go out on a limb and say, that's not a bad location, I doubt there will be too much NVH / BSR from it. And, the hatch area will act somewhat like a bandpass box. I find that install interesting, and would love to hear it. I'm guessing it works well.

It's been tuned for SQ instead of window rattling SPL, and blends quite well with the tweeter/woofer components in the front doors. I also wanted to retain as much cargo area as possible, and still have access to the spare tire if I ever need it.

I'll reach out the next time I'm in Toronto. We can chat over coffee while tunes are playing

I noted that as well, but forgot to mention as such. Yes, I agree, that to me is quite an effective location to have that installed. Respect.

I will say that would perform better under the passenger seat similar to the BMW OEM systems. Any movement from the seat itself will only counteract the movement of the woofer. Im also sure it adds something without going to extremes to save space.

That particular unit won't fit under the seat. And, with winter salt/slush, I don't want an under seat unit. Been down that road with past small vehicles, and the lifespan was severely shortened. BMW loves to charge $ for replacements!
When tuned properly, seat movement has ZERO effect on performance.
