    That went over my head.

I took the kids to see the troll(ex) on the weekend. It was really struggling to maintain 70mph. It was surging with stead throttle trying to maintain 60-70mph. Even with the cruise on I could feel it though the tach stayed steady.

I'll leave the car on the healing street until Monday and see if it fixes itself while I go looking for bigfoot one last time. Gonna try to get to here . Again...

Nah... Cummins owner here as well.

Good Grief that is beautiful... Can't wait to get up there some day...

Used the Mirage to go kayak fishing and used my tow hook! MPG hit was about the same as it was with the bike on roof. Hard to say as we had some imposed 20mph driving for a good ways.

Haven't been on the forum much or done anything with the Mirage in a couple of weeks!

I've been preoccupied with an ailing family member.

Things are looking up though. Hope to be more active again soon.

Casy - Your Mirage looks badass with that canoe on top! Looks like a perfect fit. What a tow rig these things are!

    Hello all,
. . . . I am finalizing my plans to move to TX! I got my hitch installed today! When I was in TX two weeks ago to find a job and a place to live I noticed that my intake air temp at slow speeds is going to 180F. Also the A/C stops working in that kind of temperature. The outside temperature was 95F with 75F dew point! I am going to install a second fan! Has anyone added a hood scoop to their Mirage? If so what did you use and may I see pictures?
    GOD Bless and Thanks,
    rich!

I am on the second engine and trans! 4.5 months out of 18 in the shop!
    Not so happy any more!

    Mechanic - A couple questions.

    • The 185°, I suppose that is coming from exhaust heat. Is that what you figure as well? That at some slower speed the air doesn't circulate under the hood well enough to provide cooler air at the snorkel?
    • When you say the A/C stops working ... do you mean while the A/C is working, it's just not effective? Or are you saying that at those IATs the A/C shuts off?

    I'm curious...

I'm curious what he meant by this as well. We both live in Atlanta which is just as hot as Houston IMO mostly and my AC works well even with low fan speed.

Mine got new tires, new front brake pads, and a brake system flush. Later today she will get a much-needed BATH.
