Christmas day: last kayak of the year! We had a crazy amount of rain, so a few of us went kayaking down some flooded local creeks to the river! That was fun & kind of crazy. (Only one guy dumped it.)



Boxing day: summer's over... first x-country ski of the year!

Sorry to hear about your high blood pressure event, Mech!

I had a real super a-hole boss from 1996-2005. At one time a full quarter of all staff were either in neurological treatment or in a closed facility, thats what a terrible, mean slave-driver he was! One lady was in the place for 3 1/2 days before she was delivered into a closed mental health facility. Most staff stayed no more than a few months at that place, I was there for nine years before finally throwing paperwork back at him and telling him where to shove it. He took me to court because of that, but I'm glad he lost.
As the result of permanent extreme stress in that place, I developed yoyo blood pressure. From 160/100 to 110/70 and back within less than an hour. Today, some 15 years later in a stress-free job, yoyo blood-pressure has remained, but is not as bad as before. It took about ten years to finally start improving, and today I'm getting closer to being able to abort medication one day. I carry a calcium antagonist with me at all times as a means for quickly lowering extremes of blood-pressure.

I appreciate your thoughts! There is nothing that I can do until Monday. I asked them to contact my Doctor but they don't think he will respond to any messages until Monday! Also it is possible that he won't even be in until a week from Monday!

Dirk, its the same in most parts of the world! Top level health care for all is considered a human right. Most constitutions give their people the right to live in dignity and freedom, enjoy guaranteed equal rights, live unharmed, etc, etc. That automatically guarantees everybody without exception the right to receive highest-level health-care, and also gives us the right to live without danger. We consider that as totally normal.
In other words, everbody without exception in modern democracies is entiled to best health-care, and firearms are considered obscene and totally illegal for the general public. I know some places are not that far yet, but things may change wth time.

. . . . I got a big kick out of all of the stuff that the Mirage was being used to haul even though a lot of it is oversized. Especially the Snowmobile! LOL!
. . . . Well I talked to WBM a while ago! They have the new engine installed and running. They have driven it about 20 miles. The clutch cable is noisy and will have to be replaced. They have confirmed that the transmission is not shifting correctly and that it will have to be worked on. They have not been able to duplicate the problem with the Radio even though the assistant service manager heard the problem. Well I am not going to get my Mirage back until next week. SAD!

I poke fun at wheel covers. I could care less what people think of my wheels. If I cared what people thought, I wouldn't be driving a Mirage!

I finally got new wheels and tires, as recommended from the Fuel Efficient 15" wheels & tires thread. Pro tip: rotate your tires if you want them to last! lol

That hubcap on the rear wheel is for drag? Any reason why you don't have one on the front wheel? And you removed the left mirror?
