Thought i would give a run down on the things i've done to my G4 since buying it the end of June 2018

    INSTALLED PARTS

    - Rear Axle replaced by dealership but is still 2 degrees past maximum angle

    - Had all the windows tinted including the front windshield

    INSTALLED PARTS MYSELF

    - Mitsubishi OEM side window deflectors

    - Mitsubishi OEM console/arm rest

    - Mitsubishi OEM LED daytime running lights with lighted toggle switch (for safety)

    - Wally World seat covers front + Rear

    - Blackvue 750s 2 channel front and rear dash camera's with Power Magic Pro (recorded evidence)

    - Escort Passport 9500ix radar detector w/ smart cord and Blendmount mirror mount

    - Rockford Fosgate Punch P300-12 powered Subwoofer/Amp

    - Clarion back up camera (lost factory back up cam with new head unit) Better visibility than
    factory stock camera

    - Doax fabricated rear sway bar (Thanks DOAX!!!)

    - ScanGauge 2 Ultra Compact 3-in-1 Automotive Computer (better MPG & more engine info)

    - Rhino Roof Rack from my previous 13' Prius C which fits (easy 10 min install when needed)

    - 140 decibel Ear Cannon Air Horn basically a mini train air horn. (replaced the factory pathetic
    excuse of a horn)

    - Mitsubishi cup/tray from a 2014 to replace 2018 cup/tray w/usb port (More storage space )

    - Mitsubishi OEM rear spoiler

    - 3rd brake light flasher. Have it wired to both high mount back window and on rear spoiler. (for safety from mindless texters behind me)

    ORDERED PARTS

    - Trailer Hitch (for Trek bike)

    - Mitsubishi OEM lighted Center Console Illumination

    [B]POSSIBLE FUTURE PARTS[B]

    - Mitsubishi OEM lighted Floor Illumination

    - Thinking about lighter aftermarket wheels and LRR tires

Put a deposit down on one. It’s still a hypothetical Mirage but it’s a start.

Just did these two on my car. I like the effect, but wish we could get orange lighting instead of the blue. To me, the blue looks kind of boy-racerish. There is a part number for white illumination, but I have never actually seen that kit for sale anywhere. The floor illumination comes on with the door dome light switch, while the console illumination comes on with the headlight switch. I like being able to see my coffee, my spotlight, and my cellphone charger in the dark.

Mitsubishi charges about $235 for both kits, which is highway robbery for a couple wiring pigtails, some zip ties, and three LEDs if you ask me. I found a guy on Ebay selling both for about $115 shipped...(still too much)...so it can pay to be patient and look around. There is quite a bit of disassembly and some drilling involved with installation, but if you have put AC in your car then it shouldn't be a problem for you!

Thanks. No never put A/C in a car but did replace an evaporator core on a 89’ Mustang GT once about 25 years ago which required taking the whole dash apart to get to it.

I’m used to the blue lighted foot wells from my 15’ Mustang GT. You could change the color of the dash and foot wells/ambience to several different colors but always kept mine on blue. I agree I’d rather have orange to match the dash color.

Do you have a link to the guy selling the lighting kits from ebay?

Here are the links for the ones I bought. Not sure if this guy will have more or if he just had one of each.

Got around to changing the front brake pads today. No more embarassing grinding noises! They were metal to metal.

Nothing special. The dealership is trying to negotiate a dealer trade with one in Southern Ontario. No Sapphire Blue GT’s in this region, at this time of year, but trader.ca shows Hamilton and Caledon have some listed so there has to be some around the Golden Horseshoe/Southern ON region.

How does the led light attach to light up the console? To the shifter or at another place? How long did it take to install?
