Yesterday I added a full lower grill block, after picking up the upper grill block from Daox last week. Based on the weather we've had so far, it's going to be a cold, snowy winter. :'(

I used an unfolded paper grocery bag to make a rough template.

Then cut the coroplast and attached with zip ties. If I use it again next year, I'll paint it, but I think it's funny as it is right now so I'm gonna leave it. #recycling

I use an UltraGauge in the car and I've got it monitoring engine temperature & intake temperature, but what intake temp is too hot? It gets rather warm when the car was up to temp, stopped for a little bit, and restarted, but it cools down reasonably once moving. I also wish there was a way to see how frequently the cooling fan runs to maintain the max temp with the grill blocked.

    "Return with pride"? Nice.

Can't you hear it? I cannot recall to ever have heard the cooling fan in my Space Star, but in my previous car (a Fiat Punto) it was easy to hear. So I assumed the cooling of my Space Star is just sufficient without fan.

It's easy to check *if* it ever runs. Just mount a cotton thread to one of the blades, or something like that.

In noticed when I was running my grill block in temperatures above 50℉ (10℃) that the coolant temperature would get higher than normal, then start to drop down about 15℉ or so, then go back up. I started paying attention and noticed the fan was doing its thing, though it was quiet.

I replace two of the W5 lights in the headlight pods, 1 each side. I realized after the fact there is another W5W in the pods. Since I bought 20 W5W compatible CANBUS ready bulbs I can switch out all the W5Ws on both my cars and still have some spares.
