Wow, that's a big difference. Wonder if that would fix the violent shaking the early 5MT cars have at low RPM under load.

    Changed out my OEM horn

Replaced the OEM horn with a truck horn. Couldn't stand how quiet the Mirage horn is so I replaced it with one from an International box truck.
Other drivers can definitely hear me now

Update: August turned into September and now October. I just inquired when I'm gonna see this thing.

I ordered this thing in late February.

I started Mirage #3 for the first time in 2 and a half months yesterday.

I was just shuffling cars around - not planning to put it back on the road just yet. (I usually drive the crapcan Miata into early November.)

Interestingly, there was almost no valvetrain clatter... but there was what sounded like some quiet bottom end knock for about 5 or 10 seconds.

The battery is definitely gonna need to be replaced before winter. I knew it was weak when I got the car - it needs to be jump-started if it's not driven regularly. (2.5 months is extreme... but even 2 weeks would leave it flat.)

I changed the M/T fluid and used a couple hose clamps to stop heat shield rattle. I'm at 78,500 miles.

I installed the drawtite hitch from etrailer.

Then I towed my 12' Jon boat to a friend's house to rebuild the transom. I was very pleased with the towing experience. I usually get around 50mpg but got 35mpg with the trailer.

Fibreglass boat w/ wood transom, I'm guessing? What area of FL do you use it in?

The US announced that the land border with Canada will re-open to non-commercial traffic early next month. I'm making plans to drive a snowbird friend of mine down to her winter place northeast of Tampa.

That's a heckuva drive. Will you be using your Mirage?
