I set cruise control to 55 MPH, 75F. Tires are 44 PSI, I find that is pretty good PSI for them. I drove from Lake Elsinore, to Escondido, to Anaheim. 120 Miles. I-15 south, 78 south, and I-5 north.

My middle son was rolling along in traffic on the interstate. Heavy traffic. They were moving about 30 mph, and pow, a front tire blew out. Looked like something jagged put a 2 or 3 inch gash on the inner sidewall. The tread and tire life was great, looked like it had 40k+ miles left on them. Two years old, but looked really good. Long story short, I just bought two new front tires (couldn't make myself buy one, the two on there were some clearance tires that weren't available any longer). Just another bite out of my ass.
That tire damage almost looked like the tire just let go, didn't look like something cut it from the outside. However the tire was in otherwise great shape, so I'm chalking it up as having ran over something and cut it.
