Thanks to Dirk, the Barums are not a "no name" brand on this forum.
I have a pair of the 165/65r14 Kumho Solus TA31 (500AA/60,000 mile warranty) on the rear of my Mirage this winter.
A complete set of 4 Kumho tires would be $309.96 mounted/balanced/installed + tax @ my Walmart today. Disposal of the 4 old tires would add $6 to the deal. Tire prices can change daily. These tires are $3/tire less than I what I paid for them last June.
Since Federal SS657 tires have disappeared, I still feel the Kumho tires may be one of the best 165/65r14 tire options available these days.
I am not knocking your deal at all. $312 for 4 new tires mounted/balanced anywhere is a good deal these days, & that's why I bring up the Kumho tires in my area.

$309 for a set of Kumho tires sounds like a great deal. I wish I could have waited to get some tires delivered, but my tire pressure was going down fast and I didn't want to wake up one morning with my back tires completely deflated. Props to America's Tire for having these tires and getting me in and out fast.
Though in all honesty that's my fault for not keeping an eye on my tire thread. At least now I'll pay more attention to them and make an effort to rotate them. But with how chunky and deep the thread on these things are, that might be a while.
I used Mobil 1 Synthetic 5w20 High Mileage as it was what I had in stock from WalMart clearance. Oil that came out (Mobil 1 0w20 Advanced Fuel Economy) looked ok. A bit dark, and a bit thin, but not really different than any 0w20 I have run in a Mirage at this point. Not planning on sending it in for analysis either.
One thing to note, the 3A92 IMMEDIATELY sounded happier with the new 5w20 than the old 0w20. I really think 5w20 or 5w30 is the better weight for these little triples.

I honestly believe the 0W-20 oil recommendation is totally based on economy vs engine protection.
Steve's cheap plastic car received 50+ free oil changes every 5,000 miles. Conventional 5W-30 oil & relatively cheap oil filters were used. As his Mirage approached 300,000 miles, his car was burning very little to no oil.
Some forum members using 0W-20 oil mention their Mirage burning some oil much sooner. Now there are many variables involved in all this (like driving style, highway vs city miles, oil filters, & whatever). It's just an observation that I have noticed over the past few years on the forum.
I've used 5W-30 conventional oil for decades without issue. My first 0W-20 vehicle had it's short block engine replaced @ just under 90,000 miles (class action lawsuit took care of it for me). The vehicle was burning a quart of oil every 1,000 miles. Look at it this way - if you did their recommended 7,500 mile oil change interval, you had to add 7 quarts of expensive synthetic oil between oil changes (oil capacity is 5.5 quarts).
Can I blame all that 100% on 0W-20 oil? No! The newer 2.5L Subaru boxer engine hasn't developed the great reputation of the older 2.2L boxer engine.
I stopped using 0W-20 over a year ago, now. My Mirage is getting 5W-30 Super Tech Full Synthetic & mid-priced Purolator ONE or Fram Ultra Synthetic oil filter changed every 5,000 miles from now on. It seems happy to me!
Super Tech also offers an Advanced Full Synthetic (more expensive) and High Mileage Synthetic (same price as full synthetic). Like everything else these days, Super Tech oil has jumped in price. There may be better options.
If there's a bad full synthetic oil on the market, I am not aware of it.

Replaced coolant today, undid radiator tap and engine block bung, engine block bung was bit hard to crack, used a 1/4 Allen key socket, I tried a 6mm Allen key, both fit the same but we're a bit loose which I didn't like, I couldn't locate any 6.5mm or 7mm Allen's so I couldn't really tell if I could get it any tighter, anyway it didn't really matter after I was done I replaced the aluminium washer and nipped it up to 26 Newton metres, I also took off the pipe leading down from the top of the radiator down to the CVT heat exchanger and got a little bit out. Hooked everything back up and filled it up, gave it a brief run to get any air out and I'll check it again soon and top it up if need be.
Coolant that came out was blue (must be blue from factory) and the bottle I was given by Mitsubishi was also blue so that's nice.
Drain bolt washer part no MF660034
