What did you do to your Mirage today?

Lots of shaving and cutting later (probably some unnecessary), and the gauge is installed. It's not wired up yet, though. Need to get some wire loom and wires that wont crumble under the hood.

I like it! Every vehicle should have a water temperature gauge. Some will probably like their scan gauges better, but I prefer the dial ones myself. A simple glance (without my readers on) & you can tell everything is good!

I got some new tires today as the stock Ensaves were pretty much bald after 30,000 miles.

I chose Falken Sinceras from Discount Tire. I just drove a few miles and couldn't feel much difference, but I do like the way they look as 175s vs the stock 165s. The 80,000 mile warranty is sweet too.

$57 a pop is a good price too. They raised the price of my Barum 175s from $37 to $50 at discount tire because they've been selling so good. Your Falkens are even nicer. You'll notice a difference in mpg even after they're broken in, but that size has less road noise in my opinion and handle better on the hwy.

Steve talks very highly of those tires, & he has 295,000+ miles on his Mirage.

Hey newagetomboy - good to hear from you, it's been a while.

I question paying $75 each for used rims - less expensive options can be found. There are many choices available for the Mirage. Here's some threads for you to consider:

Also consider Raybestos Element3 for your brake job. Other forum members have reported good results, the rotors are coated to better protect against corrosion, and the cost is not much more than the economy options:

Wasn't done today but hadn't shared this yet.
Added an old roof-rack I found in my garage along with some beautiful white hubcaps!!
Did this a few months back, long before there was snow on the ground and the weather was always below 0.
