What do you have them at now? Some tire shops put 32 PSI in every tire they mount.

According to the Tire Rack specs, the maximum inflation rate listed on the sidewall of that tire is 44 PSI. So if you're going for a little extra fuel economy, you could always increase the pressure close to that level.

Also keep in mind that you just went from a worn-out Low Rolling Resistance tire (which has its least rolling resistance when it's worn out) to a brand new non-Low Rolling Resistance tire. New tires have the highest rolling resistance when they're new. So it's no shock if you are noticing a slight drop in fuel economy.

No matter what car I am driving I always fill the tyres to 5 psi less than the MAXIMUM it says on the sidewall.

I usually run the Mirage at 40psi on the stock Ensaves. My car is a 2015 with around 11k miles and I am starting to see some cracking on the sidewalls of the tyres. Just a little bit but it is beginning. I rotated at around 10k miles and did not notice any uneven tyre wear so I hope I am in the clear as far as bad rear axle. I never took it in to get the alignment checked. I also never took it in (still have not done it) for the airbag recall.

Makes sense. They are at 42 psi. About 3-5 mpg decrease in highway but I'm liking the better grip (Enasaves felt like coming off the wheel on sharp turns).

I have been running 175/65-14 Goodyear Viva3s on my Mirage for more than a year. I have not been impressed with the wet traction or treadwear on these tires, but they have certainly caused no problems.

You can run a 175 with no issues on these cars other than a very slight difference in the speedometer reading.

Yours is a 5 speed correct? Im curious if the CVT7 could be affected by the 175's. I really want the Barum Brillistas at $37.00 a tire, theyre 175s. I havent read too much from CVT owners on here if their is a correlation between trans failure and tire size?

175/65r14 is the standard size tire for the Mirage in many markets so no worries.
