What car did your Mirage replace? Trade-in, sold, or none of the above?

I know this topic has come up in various individual threads.

But I thought it would be interesting to have a dedicated place to see what kinds of vehicles people have traded/replaced with their Mirages.

In my case, the current answer is: none of the above, because I don't have one yet. I'll probably never sell my old Firefly (Metro), though some day I will probably need to get a newer car.

Speck replaced a used 2007 Ford Focus wagon. It had room for hauling stuff but was heavy and slow to move & maneuver. My Focus wagon had the fuel consumption of a minivan with less space.

My Mirage is much easier to drive, is twice as fuel efficient and has more rear-seat legroom.

Plus, my daughter likes Speck because it's blue.

I sold that wagon as a private sale on Craigslist.

Here is the last picture ever taken of my 1995 Chevy 1500 4X4 sitting at the lot in Mentor, Ohio at the Mitsubishi dealer the night I traded it in on the Mirage. I owned this old truck longer than any other vehicle I ever had. I think it was 12 years. It's been a great truck, but the rust and repairs were getting bad and the tranny started going....

Still have my 98 1.3L 5-speed Magnum Metro..........

Still have wifey's super clean 96 Metro........

Still have my 1991 off road Geo Metro called "EcoMudder".........

    2008 Elantra. Auto.

Bought it new it was overall a good car. Wanted a stick again and the best non hybrid mileage plus new with full warranty again and didn't want to pay a Lot. Hence, mirage.
And a 2006 sienna van. Same thing for wife's mirage.

2008 Suzuki Reno. I bought it used in 2011. Not really a bad car, but it had a few electrical gremlins. Plus, those Daewoo/Suzukis have a known issue with the transmission control module on the automatics where it will randomly throw a code and only go into 2nd gear.

A 1997 Geo Metro. Bought it with 149,000 miles in late 2009 for $600. Rebuilt or replaced nearly everything over the next five years and 115,000 miles before selling it for $1750 right after buying my Mirage.

I still hang out and cause trouble at Mullet's place...http://geometroforum.com/index/

It was intended to replace my '93 Geo Metro that I made the mistake of selling. The poor thing only had 130k on it and was in pristine shape. I had even replaced the broken door latches. Now two years later when the friend I sold it to comes over I cry about the shape it is in.

1999 Saturn. A lot has happened since I bought it brand new in California. Moved to Ohio in it. Got married. Drove away from the ceremony in it. Bought my first house. But after 17 years with few problems, it was showing more age than I wanted to deal with. Sold it private party on Craigslist for $800.

2010 Jeep Commander & 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Wife couldn't drive anymore due to illness, kids are moved out. We had owned a bunch of Metro's in the past and a Dodge Colt. After moving to the Oregon Coast we didn't need 4 wheel drive anymore. Back to simplicity and efficiency. We love ours.
