The article is just ridiculous. They're basically saying the only thing the Mirage has going for it is that it is affordable transportation. However, affordable transportation is a HUGE market segment and a key selling point for ANY vehicle.
Custom Mirage products: Cruise control kit, Glove box light, MAF sensor housing, Rear sway bar, Upper grill block

Current project: DIY Nitrous oxide setup for ~$100

Haha - the author bio under the article is hilarious:

Mario Caballero With him at the helm, Autoomobile.com continues to head in the right direction of providing high quality and unbiased information on the latest new car models and electronics.
It's badly written, journalistically unethical (implying without evidence that the car is about to be cancelled). Its not even a real car review site & not even worth getting worked up over.

I read this article a week or two ago. It was so bad I didn't even think it was worth posting here.

And I was so close to buying one! But I decided not to now since Mario Caballero thinks that some people might not miss the Mirage it if quit being built...
I can see picking on cars for being pieces of crap that breakdown all the time but these people must have been stuck behind one in traffic and need to complain about something when they get to work. So why not pick on the Mirage?

The web traffic for that site shows a well deserved low rating.

That's a journalist? Horrendous writing style and a rather pointless piece.

Are there rumors that Mirage is going away soon?
