    Speaking with Mirage Owners

Whenever I have the opportunity I stop and speak with fellow mirage owners and share this site. I learned some interesting things during my encounters most mirage owners know a lot about the car and almost every case either people wanted the loaded hatch/g4 with all the goods or purchased for price, warranty, and simplicity. I noticed women more then men wanted and purchased the manual transmission the reason I'm surprised the media states manuals are dead in the US.

So far I've spoken with around 15 or so mirage owners. All of them no matter transmission, model year, or model, are getting 40 mpg +.

Biggest complaint G4- lack folding rear seat.

Biggest complaint hatch- lack of arm rest or hill assist 17 models.

    Cool!!

In the wild, I think I've only ever spoken to 2 Mirage owners, both women.

One bought the car because it was pink! (2014 CVT) The other I see pretty regularly, a retired lady who often takes her dog to the park for walks/swims. She loves her car (2014 5-speed).

I thought the 17 has hill assist. I don't notice it really as I have driven many manuals for many years and don't encounter many hills ever. But I think it does have it

100% 2017 has hill assist, never had any issues. In my town I saw the other owner of G4 , she is also a social worker. No complaints so far, only small tires in harsh canadian winter.

I had a conversation with an older gentleman piloting a '17 hatch in blue... His only complaint was he wasn't able to get the purple in a five speed at the time. Was jealous of my G4.

I just bought one for my wife and she is so happy. Perfect car for my wife, that's why I joined this forum to find out more as a mechanic :-)

Hello CarDriver33 and welcome to the forum.

A common problem has been rear axle alignment. Get yours checked.

    Otherwise, enjoy your new Mirage.
