Mine is more of a "buzzing" type resonant vibration. Like something is a little loose. Is that what we're all experiencing? Only seems to do it when accelerating from a stop at about "middle" throttle. It's like this one point in the powerband where it does it... any "place" above or below that and it doesn't do it. Make any sense?

I get the 3 cylinder “growl” at certain rpms but I actually wish it was a little louder.

I'm getting exactly this since dealership "adjusted" it.
Buzz is easily heard outside the car as well.
Making a sharp left from a stop makes heads turn. I'm actually embarrassed to drive this car around the city.
    Will weld for beer.

Dealership checked out my buzz/rattle issue today.
I'll share their diagnosis and resolution.
They told me it was the serpentine belt..
Tech adjusted the belt and so far the buzz has abated.
    Will weld for beer.

Mine does exactly the same! Whew, thought it was something wrong!....Noise doesn't bother me, and goes away when warm.

    Engine noise

    Hi Guys,

Just noticed this in my Mirage, there so much noise that it really bothered me so when I checked the hood I saw that there was a gap in the snorkel (i think thats what it is called) when I put pressure back to it the noise is reduced.

Any suggestions on what I could use to fill in the gap or fix the gap?

    Thank you.

That's a great catch, waldz09. If I recall correctly, those pieces are held together by a snap-fit of claw-type clips with a thin foam-rubber kind of tape to seal the connection. Perhaps one way to tighten that up might be another layer of foam tape.

I just "fixed" one last week. Pull the air cleaner, seperate the tubes, wrap a layer of duct tape around the tubes and put it back together.

One car was so worn out I replaced the entire air cleaner. Probably could Attachment 13057 taped it but it was getting thin. Attachment 13055Attachment 13056
