Awww, no! Thats a real bummer to hear. I know you put a lot of work into your car... Any idea what you'll replace it with?

Custom Mirage products: Cruise control kit, Glove box light, MAF sensor housing, Rear sway bar, Upper grill block

Current project: DIY Nitrous oxide setup for ~$100

Thanks for asking, Egg. I entered an intersection at night and was struck by a guy without his headlights on, on a dark part of the roadway. I was told that it cannot be proven he didnt have his lights on, because there was no camera at the intersection. So, technically, I was to blame. But meh...I see real good (but I'm not a bat), and I'm a good driver (sparkling record). I know what's what, but no point cryin' bout in now. I'm a little banged up, but I'm walkin' it off. I'll be ok.

The usual insurance hoop after hoop, you have to jump through in these circumstances. But it's nearly done now. She had 133,200 and some change. Insurance adjuster gave me $4400, which was at the high end of the Kelly Blue Book value. He allowed me to add my aftermarket parts to the total, AND allowed me to scavenge what I could.

I got a 2015 Veloster N/A for a good price with many, many options, and low miles. I like the car, but it's not as fun (Dual Clutch Automatic-Automanual). You can hardly tell your driving, it's so quiet. But I'm already starting to modify it, and I'm already enjoying it. Gloria was a good car to me. I am going to miss her. I never really had any major issues with her. But she was getting tired, as old age and hard work, will do.

For sale-wise, I got some things. The set of Konig Helium Black 15x6.5 wheels, with good amount of Toyo Extensa HP II rubber, left on them. I'll throw in the McGard locking lug package as well. I have the brand new (untouched), set of gold pulleys. An Ultra Racing front sway bar. The ST8Pro OBD2 computer chip. And then, the headlight setup which is: H1 projectors with Bluetooth RGB Halos and Bluetooth RGB Demon Eyes. I'll price out all this stuff later. I really should have gotten a lot more stuff out of her, but as I was injured, and the adjuster and towing was lurking, I was limited on time and effort.

    Glad to hear you're ok.

Many cars have a Event Data Recorder. Maybe the other car has one. If so, it would tell whether the other driver had their lights on or not. This generation Mirage has one too.
