    Anyone doing anything special for the snow too their car?

    I just prepped mine;

    Install front and rear tow hooks (yup all winter!)
    Drain crap windshield cleaner replace with peak winter mix
    Get block heater cord ready

    Double check i have;

    Shovel,
    Come-along
    Jumper cables
    Everything to change tire
    (lucky i checked i didn't have a socket with me! )

    I mean my tow ball for the tow hitch. Easy spot too choke with a strap and pull

    Someone told me it's illegal to drive with it in if your not towing. I don't know if there's any truth to that

    LOL then 99% of truck owners would be breaking the law as most keep their hitch ball in the receiver year around. Some due to it being rusted in.
    I'm a part of the 1% who doesn't though as I don't want it all rusted up.

    Fluid film. I also keep a 4 way speed wrench in the back all year for tire issues. We had our first little snow today actually

    i just don't want to bang my shin all the time. But for winter... Ehh I'll deal with it rather than fishing thru my trunk fumbling with gloves, loosing the pin in the snow etc if i get stuck

    How many cans did you need of the fluid film, and about what did it cost you? I really would like to do that, too.

    The Mirage is tiny so 2 cans will do a decent job on all mayor components. But I bought a gallon online for like 43.00 and it lasted 2 seasons for 3 vehicles. My truck takes more than both mirages too.
    You can use a paint sprayer to apply it. I used a cheap electric one for 20.00 and I keep it just for fluid film.

    Aerosols are 9.00 each so it's much much cheaper by the gallon and it never goes bad!!

    Oh wow i was under the impression it was much more expensive. That seems like a really good deal.

    I definitely cannot afford a gallon right now but i might treat myself to a can and hit the common trouble spots.

    Cool thanks

    Yeah even one can will do the whole front end steering components and rear axle. Basically whole drivetrain and suspension plus places under the hood if you want
