Thread: Mitsubishi Mirage monthly sales, US & Canada, 2013-2023 (projected 7000/yr for U.S.)

  1. #611
    Wow:

Chevrolet Spark sales increased 51.88 percent to 7,029 units

GM is only reporting sales quarterly now. So that's 2343 / month average for Jul/Aug/Sep.

Mirage is still ahead in sales so far this year, 19316 vs. 18428.

    Canada Sept

    Overall for the company:

September sales are down 0.5 per cent and year-to-date sales are up 15 per cent over last year with 20,086 units sold in 2018.
    https://www.mitsubishi-motors-pr.ca/...eptember-sales

    260 Mirages sold
in the Great White North last month.

That's its best month this year, and is a 16% gain vs. last September. But year over year sales are still well below 2017.

The Mirage's Canadian competitors: Nissan moved 368 Micras, down 60% from Sept 2017. No numbers for the Spark yet, but it has outsold the Micra for the previous 5 months. That's a big upset for Nissan, which has ruled the "city car" sales roost since its arrival in 2014 as a 2015 model.

    October sales, US & Canada

US: another decent month south of the 49th...

1730 Mirages sold (compared to 1768 last October). That means the car is still on track for another year-over-year increase in sales if it holds through Nov/Dec.

    The company did well overall:

October 2018 sales of 8,002 up 8.4 percent compared to October 2017 and its best October since 2007. Calendar years sales are 101,400 units sold an increase of 17.1 percent over the same period in 2017.

    ----

    Canada: 188 Mirages sold.

That's not so great - 3rd lowest month this year. Last Oct was 208.

Overall, the Canadian arm had a down month:

Overall monthly sales of 1802 units were down 10 per cent versus 2,000 deliveries last October.

Wooo, that is great to hear. Most models would have pretty declining sales after 4 model years. Its great news that the Mirage is still gaining steam.

with gas prices in Canada as high as ever, and certainly higher than last year, I am a little surprised.

If gas prices had spiked to where they currently are, rather than gradually crept up, people would take notice?

Also: when was the last time you saw an ad for a Mirage? I can't remember the last time.

Last year, the 2018 models were available in October. I test drove a new 2018 model in mid-October & bought a new 2017 for much less. The 2019 models have not appeared as early this year. At least I haven't noticed 2019 Mirages being listed in my area. Not sure how that may or may not impact sales this fall? The new models aren't going to be all that different.

From what I have read, cruise control will be standard for all trim levels. That makes an ES base model fairly well equipped in my mind.

2019 specs are on Mitsu's media site:

I haven't checked the consumer site.

Interesting, even the bare-bones Mirages '19 and beyond are getting cruise control standard, and a middle arm rest, too.

I wonder what the new red trim stitching on the seats of higher trims looks like (no photos with this press release).
Also wondering if the 2 tone paint I've seen in other markets Mirage's will ever show up in North America.

You mean the 'Color Line' option? It is already available here...but it is an $800 option.
