U.S:
Best January sales overall for the company since 2007.
The Mirage had a great month vs. last Jan, which merited another bullet-point in Mitsubishi's press release:
https://media.mitsubishicars.com/rel...les-since-2007The fuel-efficient Mirage and Mirage G4 combined for 1,570 vehicles sold, up 42.3 percent over January of 2018. Mirage G4 is the most fuel-efficient gasoline-fueled non-hybrid passenger car available in the United States
Canada:
Best January ever for the company, overall.
Mirage sales were also up compared to January 2018: 143 vs. 109.

USA:
The Mirage was once again mentioned in the company's monthly sales numbers news release. That rarely happens, so you know it's gotta be good news:
On top of that, it was the best February in 15 years for the company.Continuing to buck the trend of consumers' departure from passenger cars, Mirage and Mirage G4 combined for 1,792 vehicles sold, up 35.4 percent over February of 2018. Mirage G4 is the most fuel-efficient gasoline-fueled non-hybrid passenger car available in the United States

Canada:
The Mirage had its best Feb since its first year, with 183 sold. That contributed to the company's best February for sales, period.

The bump in sales in the past couple of months has coincided with an increase in new members & general activity here. I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but I sure have.

I'm sure all the "professional reviewers" are projectile vomiting over this news release. At first it's counterintuitive to think that the cheapest, lowest horsepower car offered in the USA keeps on increasing in sales year after year. But once you start looking at the "Big" picture it makes perfect sense. As auto manufacturers have dumped making cars as fast as possible that leaves fewer manufacturers that offer cars. The Mirage is inexpensive, reliable, and efficient. There are a lot of people that don't want to spend $30-$75K US$ on a SUV or CUV. The Mirage checks all the boxes for me (inexpensive, efficient, reliable) and gets me from Point A to Point B. I'm thinking that many people feel the same way and as the options for new cars have decreased this has increased the awareness of our favorite little cars.

What is the Mirage sales in Japan?
Dirk - not sure about that. Japanese Mirage news is more difficult to come by.

It was a banner month for the company overall, but Mirage sales slipped a bit vs. a year ago.
Mirage sales: 2880 (vs. 3106 last March)... March 2019 sales of 19,599, an increase of 36.9 percent over March 2018. This is the single-best sales month since March 2004, as well as being the best March since 2004 as well.
Through the first quarter of 2019, calendar year sales are 42,067, an increase of 17.6 percent over the same period in 2018, and the best first quarter of the year since 2004.

Also a banner month for the company, and for Mirage sales, too:
Mirage sales: 433 (vs. 218 last March). Mirage hasn't seen a 400+ sales month in Canada since 2016 (one month). It's the car's 7th best month of sales since it launched here.Mitsubishi Motor Sales of Canada reported today its best-ever fiscal year with 26,624 units delivered representing a 12 per cent sales increase.
Supported by outstanding March sales, the company delivered 3,753 units last month, a 42 per cent increase over last year.
