I've noticed the same thing about used Mirages showing up on buy-here-pay-here lots.
That's priced about right. Everyone knows a 2015 ES in Blue is the best ever made. So many features without a CVT.

That's crazy. That's close to what I paid for my brand new, but one year-old, SE back in Feb of 2015. Add in the CAD - US exchange rate and it might be more!

    • Despite predictions that consumers have turned away from passenger cars, Mirage's first-half 2021 performance is the strongest first-half for the nameplate since 2001.

Have you guys asked Mitsubishi for some kickback? I'm sure this forum helps to sway a lot of people into a Mirage. It could just as easily be used to do the complete opposite.

I do find it rather ironic & satisfying at the same time that so many other cars have disappeared from the market while the Mirage has remained.

I think it's wise to keep an entry level car in a company's line up. They may not make you as much money up front, but many first time car buyers have many, many years of car shopping ahead of them.

An affordable, reliable, & economical car should be praised not ridiculed by car critics. The Mirage is filling a niche that other companies are choosing to ignore. In all honesty, the Chevy Spark is really the only true competitor left.

vs. 7755 Sparks in the US.

That's the closest in a while, no?

In Canada, the Spark decimated Mirage sales @ 1695 to 303.

The Mirage is doing quite well considering this small fact below -

The company manufactures and sells Mitsubishi brand cars and sport utility vehicles through a network of approximately 440 dealers in Canada (90) and the United States (350).

There are 2,920 Chevrolet locations in the United States as of May 20, 2021.

    Doing some simple math -

    7,755/2,920 = 2.66 Sparks sold/dealership

    6790/350 = 19.4 Mirages sold/dealership

I'm sure White Bear is much higher than 19 Mirages sold, and some Mitsubishi dealerships are much lower.

The average Chevy dealership isn't making much money off of Spark sales.

Mirage does quite well considering it has 12% (350/2920) the number of dealerships compared to the Spark.

So those numbers don't even include the Canadian dealerships? Wonder if the numbers would change much if the Canada was included.

Math is hard. Good thing you like numbers Mark.
