I seriously don't see the point in Fiat, at all. The base car has horrible oversteer and really wants to spin out all the time, it drinks fuel insanely, the doors are so heavy they are really hard to open if the car is parked uphill, the 4 door Fiat is priced seriously stupid high and makes me laugh as it's a big ungodly fugly car. There's a good reason Fiat were rejected in the 70's and the company is going balls out trying to drive consumers away just as intensely as they did the last go around.

Our favorite little car keeps selling pretty well. Since 2014 it's got to be at least 50,000 cars in the USA. Considering Mitsubishi had no idea whether or not a subcompact 3 cylinder 74hp (now 78hp) would even sell. Rising fuel prices can't be hurting sales.

    100k soon

Someone will buy the 100,000th 6th gen Mirage in the States sometime in the next week or two.

    June's year-to-date numbers put the total at 13185 + 85770 = 98,955

    Spark Q2 sales, US

GM changed to only doing quarterly sales reports, and now we know how the Spark did for April-May-Jun.

Up quite a bit, year-over-year, but still trailing Mirage: 4454 (3 months = 1485 per month)

Spark year-to-date: 11,399 vs. 13,185 for the Mirage.

Mitsubishi is seemingly doing pretty well, fairly priced SUVs with a good feature set, a small car with great gas mileage all with a great warranty. Gas prices going up will help Mirage sales.

    July U.S. sales

    ^ You might be right:

2374 Mirages sold in July vs. 1560 last year.

That puts the car on track for another year-over-year increase in sales, if this sales pace holds.

    2018 YTD: 15,559 vs. 2017 YTD: 15,247

Of course, far too soon to tell. Tariffs/trade wars could seriously depress all new car sales in North America. It boggles my mind that the US government are considering tariffs on autos/auto parts when even the US auto industry doesn't want them. Not that it matters much to me - I hope to keep my Mirage through at least the next 2 administrations!
