I don't know how this year's numbers are going to end up looking good in the US.

The closest Chevrolet dealer is the same...the place almost looks like it's out of business. Do new car dealers in Canada look like this?
Is your local Mitsubishi dealership a part of a larger automotive group or a stand alone dealership? I think that makes a huge difference in inventory.

For example, Bergstrom is the largest Automotive Group (36 different brands) in Wisconsin. Their Mitsubishi dealership located in Appleton, Wisconsin has four 2022 Eclipse Cross vehicles in stock. That is their entire new vehicle inventory.

Meanwhile, a stand alone dealership like White Bear (Minnesota) has -
    84 Eclipse Cross
    55 Outlander
    42 Outlander PHEV
    30 Outlander Sport
    20 G4
    19 Mirage

During more normal times, WB would have 60+ Mirages in stock this time of year.

The largest automotive group in Wisconsin has 4 new Mitsubishi vehicles in stock verses a stand alone dealership like White Bear that has (you do the math above).

If Wisconsin has a good Mitsubishi dealership, I am not aware of it yet. I am amazed Mitsubishi still exists, but I am seeing more & more of them all the time. Madison , Wisconsin has a stand alone dealership. Even though they somewhat suck, they have inventory & sell vehicles. I see that living 65 miles away from them.

When I say my most local Mitsubishi dealership sucks, that is not an exaggeration. Their practices were so horrible that the Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicle eventually shut them down for a couple months & investigated them. Even though I don't know the outcome of that investigation, the former owners seemed forced to sell and someone new owns the dealership now. I haven't been there still new ownership, but my hopes for them aren't that high.

I know some feel I praise WB a bit much on the forum, but my alternative to WB was absolutely a horrible experience. This is coming from someone who takes no crap from car dealership. Heck, even the first sales person I talked to there was one of my former students. It was still a very yucky place to visit. I used them for test drive, thanked them, & moved on. There was no need to waste each other's time, because I knew the OTD price before going for a test drive. They somewhat treated me like someone with the plague (this was before COVID), because of that, too.

Mark, Mad City got bought by the Kunes Auto Group. They've been buying up places left and right. It's not a good thing...

Any update yet for last year and this year perhaps in terms of sales figure?

You need three months to pass to see quarterly sales for this year.

Mitsu used to release sales figures every month, but most manufacturers switched to quarterly reporting in 2019 & 2020 (Mitsu switched in Q2 2020)

    U.S. Q1 Jan-March sales

4,917 Mirages sold so far this year. (Better than Eclipse Cross.)

vs. 6,932 Mirages sold in the same period last year.

We have to believe (hope?!) that this is supply constraint problem.

Mitsu says it is: "Demand continued to outstrip supply across the lineup, especially on the fast-moving Outlander."

(The Nissan Outlander is going to save Mitsu's bacon!)

Based on what I see at my local Mitsubishi store, I wonder how this year will possibly have higher sales than last year.

My dealer has 11 new cars right now on their lot...including 1 Mirage and 1 G4. This isn't a huge dealer but normally they would have closer to 60 new cars in stack.

Apparently, WB has 35 new mirages in stock currently. That is a good sign however not for those looking for 5 speeds.

Nobody's really looking anymore. We're a bunch of weirdos.

I was thinking today: the Mirage could conceivably be the last "new-ish" manual car I own. Not by choice.

Spark sales Q1: in the toilet!

Looks like GM was winding down Spark availability well before they announced they are canning it:

    2022 ...

    Month Mirage sales, US
    Spark sales, US
    Mirage sales, Canada
    Spark sales, Canada
    Q1 Jan-Mar 4917 278 406 128

    ---

The Mirage picked up (doubled, woohoo!) sales in Canada, reversing a long decline. 406 vs. 192 in Q1 last year!
