    Unless the tensioner bolt breaks off. Had that happen once on a Mirage. Most of the time they loosen right off unless you're in a hurry...A little copper coat on those threads might help the people fighting the war against rust.

    I wouldn't expect them to warranty a belt? I too would have assumed they'd just tighten it and kick it out the door.

    Did this appointment (new belt & TPMS fixed) end up being no charge?

    Correct. They didn't charge me for anything, despite them wanting to charge me for the TPMS.
